Balancelot coming to Steam Store on 23rd of May, 2019

Jyväskylä, Finland, April 25th, 2019 - Jestercraft announces the release date for Balancelot, first title by AnvilBird Interactive. Balancelot will be available in Steam Store on 23rd of May, 2019 for 7,99USD, with the release discount of 25%. In Balancelot player controls ambitious squire through handcrafted medieval continents on his unicycle.

About Balancelot

After the first appearance of Balancelot, the game was well received by gamers and it caught the attention of YouTubers as well. Jestercraft helped during the development, but also took a crusade to get the game available worldwide.

Poor squire dreams to attend and conquer kingdom jousting tournament. By being poor, he can't afford a horse. Unicycle happens to be close enough, so the epic journey may begin!

Player gets to use controller or keyboard to balance the clumsy but fully functional unicycle in different playmodes. Choose your character and thrust with your sharpened lance when encountering threats from local mythical monsters. Climbing over the dead enemies with your unicycle may be the last climb you take. Crush your enemies, drive before them and hear the lamentation of your one-wheeler! Claim your place among the squires around the world in global leaderboards!

Been in the game industry since 2009 working as an artist, designer, producer and entrepreneur. Now building small indie game studio from ground up and helping others to learn game development & publish games.

Noora Vähälä, AnvilBird Interactive

Noora came up with the idea behind Balancelot during christmas 2017, and have been working as an artist on the project ever since. She has a passion for history, literature and bad movies.

Mikko Uusitalo, AnvilBird Interactive

Mikko is the main level designer, graphic artist, brand manager, the guy in charge of the Twitter account, writer of the story and much more. Taneli Mäenpää, AnvilBird Interactive

Behind the music of Balancelot is a content production generalist. Powered by latte and electronic music, Taneli spends most of his days making audiovisual ideas and visions come to life. Whether it is composing, mixing, game design, writing, designing, drawing, animating or producing, it is very likely that Taneli has some skills in it. His hobbies include games, vector art, reading, playing music, and absorbing random trivia.

Elmo Hämäläinen, AnvilBird Interactive

I’m third year student at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences and I’m studying bachelor of business and administration. In Balancelot project I’m mainly responsible of project management and in content production I’m the one that is making menus and UI elements.

Anna-Kaisa Salonen, AnvilBird Interactive

Graphic design, art assets, arranging folders and Trello cards. A-K is the supporting artist and secretary/project manager of Balancelot and has been involved with a handful of indie-game projects before as well. On free time she can be found drawing and doodling, fangirling other artist online and waving different kinds of sticks in the air in Japanese manner (and when there’s time free from these, experiencing stories and adventures on PS) . The form of caffeine intake is a mix of 50/50 coffee/milk or a variety of tea.

Tuomas Männistö, AnvilBird Interactive

Beaten by my brothers since the day I could understand what a game was (Physically: sometimes. Video games: more frequently.) I've been looking for a way to avenge myself.

Then I decided to make my own game so I would never be beaten again! I also program and make silly noises in the game. There are too many great games to mention, but I'd say my favorite games are Monkey Island 1-3, Warcraft 3 and Heroes of might and magic 3. A lot of threes, I know.
